Eight-team competition
FIFA said the eight-team competition would be held at five venues from a list of six comprising Hanover, Leipzig, Cologne, Nuremberg, Frankfurt and Kaiserslautern. The tournament will be a dress rehearsal for the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals in Germany. However, the decision still needs to be ratified by the FIFA Executive Committee.
