Croatia will take on Argentina on 1 March in the Swiss city of Basle as part of their preparations for the FIFA World Cup finals - where they meet Brazil.

Croatia will take on Argentina on 1 March at Swiss UEFA EURO 2008™ opening match venue St. Jakob-Park in Basle.

'Strong opponents'
The game is part of Croatia's FIFA World Cup finals preparations, with Argentina's neighbours Brazil among their opponents in Germany, following on from their trip to Hong Kong, when they play the Korean Republic on 29 January and either Denmark or the hosts three days later. "I am looking forward such respected and strong opponents," Croatia coach Zlatko Kranjčar said. "This is a real opportunity to how our preparations for the World Cup are going. We drew 1-1 against Brazil last August and Argentina have the same level of quality."

World Cup fixtures
Before departing for Germany, Croatia are planning to play France in Paris on 7 June, though the fixture is not confirmed. In World Cup Group F they open against holders Brazil on 13 June in Berlin, face Japan in Nuremberg five days later and play Australia in Stuttgart on 22 June.
