The Faroe Islands will make first acquaintance with Hungary in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group F, with past club and youth results suggesting they may be in for a tough time in Torshavn.
• This is the sides' first meeting at senior level.
• All five of the Faroes' UEFA age-group competition meetings with Hungary have ended in defeat, most recently a 3-1 in Portugal in a UEFA European Under-19 Championship match on 6 November 2011.
• The nations' clubs have met in eight UEFA competition games, with the Faroese sides' record reading W0 D1 L7. That lone draw came in the most recent tie, KÍ Klaksvík holding Újpest FC 2-2 in Toftir before losing 1-0 in the return fixture in the 2002/03 UEFA Cup qualifying round.
