Too much pressure
The Bryne FK defender has revealed that the twin pressures of playing domestic football in Norway and travelling to international games has persuaded him to call time on his Estonia career. He had made 84 international appearances and scored three goals but was increasingly being left out of the first XI.
Practical difficulties
"I have just extended my contract for another three years with Bryne and as the international dates are not respected in the Norwegian first division, it would have been hard to travel to national team matches," he said. "But also being 31, I don't have too many ambitions any longer, especially as I realise I am not really a regular in the national team any more."
