Thigh problem
The 35-year-old tore a thigh muscle in training on Thursday and will be sidelined for at least two weeks. This will rule him out of the Spanish club's Group H game at the San Siro on 9 December, the final matchday.
Qualifying hopes
If Celta are to qualify for the first knockout round they must better second-placed AFC Ajax's result against Club Brugge KV on the same night. Celta are currently level with the Dutch team but have an inferior head-to-head record. Mostovoi will also miss league games against CA Osasuna and Club Atlético de Madrid.
