McGeady makes Celtic commitment

The Republic of Ireland midfielder Aiden McGeady will spend the next four-and-a-half years with Celtic FC after signing a new contract.

Celtic FC have been handed a boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie against AC Milan with the news promising midfielder Aiden McGeady has signed a new four-and-a-half year deal with the club.

Looking ahead
The 20-year-old Irish international had 12 months left on his existing contract but the Scottish champions were keen to secure his future at Celtic Park after losing Shaun Maloney to Aston Villa FC last week. "I'm delighted to agree this new contract with Celtic and commit my future to the club," said McGeady. "I've enjoyed my time immensely with Celtic so far and I'm now looking forward very much to the future and the challenges that lie ahead."
