Bumper crowd
Some 11,000 people came to see the official replica of the trophy over the two days that it was on display. The original trophy stays with the reigning champions and goes to the host city for display before the final each season. Some 5,800 photos were taken of the trophy.

Trophy display
The silverware was the centrepiece of a display also featuring signed football memorabilia, while among the football-related activities on offer was the exclusive chance for invitees to be photographed with the trophy. A considerable media presence also demonstrated the importance of the occasion.

Hugely popular
The UEFA Champions League is hugely popular in Latin American countries, and the trophy tour has allowed local fans to share the magic of Europe's blue-riband club competition. The trophy went on show in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Santiago (Chile), before coming to Mexico City and Monterrey to complete a highly successful tour.
