The 27-year-old has agreed a three-year contract to join the UEFA Cup contenders, who have signed several players ahead of their qualifying round tie against FC TVMK Tallinn next month.

Stokholm said: "OB have shown they mean business and that they want to be at the top of Danish football. Furthermore, they are going to play in Europe for the second year running, so I am really looking forward to starting my OB career."

OB coach Uffe Pedersen said: "Nikolaj Stokholm will be an asset to our team. He is a technically skilled player, who also has great running power. He is a player we wanted for some time and I am happy we have now managed to sign him."
