Del Nido retains Sevilla presidency

The 49-year-old lawyer José María del Nido has been re-elected for a second consecutive term as president of UEFA Cup holders Sevilla FC.

Club honour
The 49-year-old lawyer, who was given a club insignia made of gold and diamonds as he resumed his duties, will be president of the club until 2010 after he went unchallenged in a shareholders-only vote. "I feel very emotional and also very proud to have received the insignia which only Cisneros Palacios, Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, Roberto Alés and Miguel Aguilar have been awarded before," he said.
