Article body
Former Denmark midfielder Morten Bisgaard is set to return to Odense BK nine years after first leaving the club he started his career with after signing a two-year contract.
Famous strike
The 33-year-old spent five seasons at Fionia Park after making his league debut aged 19 and went on to play over 150 matches in all competitions before leaving for Udinese Calcio in summer 1998. Included in that was his goal in OB's sensational UEFA Cup victory away to Real Madrid CF in 1994, and he is hoping to help the side gain more success after joining as a free agent having been released by Derby County FC.
'My club'
"I am really happy to have signed the contract with OB, whom I regard as my club in Denmark," said Bisgaard, who also had a spell at FC København between 2001 and 2004. "I had a fantastic time in Odense and I am looking forward to contributing to keeping OB at the top of Danish football and to get international success too." Capped eight times at international level, Bisgaard brings a wealth of experience to the club who last week drew 0-0 with Saint Patrick's Athletic FC in the UEFA Cup first qualifying round.
