Kosanović urges Crvena Zvezda on

Milorad Kosanović hopes FK Crvena Zvezda "can find satisfaction" in the UEFA Cup as they prepare to take on Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski in the first round.

Coach Milorad Kosanović hopes FK Crvena Zvezda "can find satisfaction" in the UEFA Cup as they battle Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski for a group stage place.

Rangers blow
Devastated after seeing their bid for a place in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League end with a 1-0 aggregate defeat against Rangers FC, the Belgrade side are determined to salvage some glory from their European travails. Now, as they meet Groclin in the opening leg of their first round tie in Poland, coach Kosanović is focusing all of his attention on the group stage.

'We need it'
"We need it," he said. "The club need it and the supporters also need it. This is a different competition [from the UEFA Champions League], but the European scene is always glamorous [regardless of which competition a team is involved in]. In the forthcoming months we will forget our unsuccessful Champions League campaign but we can find satisfaction in the UEFA Cup."

Absent stars
Captain Dejan Milovanović will miss out through injury while Ognjen Koroman and Igor Burzanović are both suspended for the Serbian side, but Kosanović still fancies Crvena Zvezda's chances, saying of Groclin: "They are strong enough and brave enough but I think that we are better. The first match will be the harder of the two and our target is to remain unbeaten."
