Simão is a major doubt for Club Atlético de Madrid's UEFA Cup Round of 32 visit of Bolton Wanderers FC due to a thigh injury sustained in Thursday's first-leg defeat.

Thigh problem
The 28-year-old winger pulled his left thigh muscle 72 minutes into the match in England which Atlético lost 1-0, being immediately replaced by Jurado. Although the injury has been diagnosed as a minor pull, the Portuguese international has been ruled out of tomorrow's Primera División game against Athletic Club Bilbao and is rated doubtful for the Bolton second leg on 21 February. Simão joined Atlético from SL Benfica last summer and has scored three goals in 21 league appearances, plus a further two strikes in eight UEFA Cup outings.
