Cousin cleared for UEFA Cup

Rangers FC's Daniel Cousin will be eligible to play in Thursday's UEFA Cup last-16 first leg against Werder Bremen after his transfer to Fulham FC broke down.

FIFA ruling
The 30-year-old's proposed transfer to the English Premier League club fell through after an intervention by the world footballing body FIFA, whose rules stipulate that a player may play for only two clubs in a season. Cousin appeared for French club RC Lens earlier in the campaign.
