Italian coach Dario Bonetti has parted company with UEFA Europa League contenders FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti after just three months in charge of the Romanian club.
Panathinaikos loss
Dinamo sit seventh in Liga 1 with 13 points from their opening eight fixtures, while one win and a defeat has left them third in UEFA Europa League Group F. The Bucharest outfit suffered a 1-0 reverse at home to Panathinaikos FC on Thursday and Bonetti, 48, was relieved of his duties late on Saturday evening. "I cannot say anything against Dario's professionalism," said club president Nicolae Badea.
Experienced successor
Bonetti's former assistant Ion Marin has been placed in temporary charge and will be at the helm for Dinamo's home fixture against CS Pandurii Lignitul Târgu Jiu on Sunday. Marin, 54, has previous experience in charge at Dinamo, leading them to the Romanian title in 2002.
