Futsal finalists could meet again

Eight teams are through to the next stage of the UEFA Futsal Cup with a repeat of last year's final possible.

Eight teams have won through to the second qualifying round of the 2002/03 UEFA Futsal Cup with a repeat of the first final still a possibility.

All winners
Spanish sides Playas de Castellón, the holders, and Interviu Boomerang have been joined by Action 21 Charleroi, Norilsky Nickel, MNK Split, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, Prato C/5 and KMF Niš after all won their respective mini-tournaments in the first qualifying round.

Divided into two
They have now been divided into two pools of four teams, Group A and Group B. Each team in the group will play the other once on a mini-tournament basis next March with the team finishing top progressing to the final. The top teams in Group A and Group B will play each other on a two-legged basis in April next year.

Revenge possible
Of the eight teams, three reached the same stage of the inaugural 2001/02 competition, which was then played as a finals tournament in Lisbon in February this year. Castellón, Split, and Charleroi were all in action in Portugal, with Castellón ultimately defeating Charleroi 5-1 in the final. The draw for the second qualifying round means these two could meet again this time around.
