Weekend dates for Futsal final

The UEFA Futsal Cup final between Boomerang Interviú and MFK Dinamo Moskva will be played on 29 April in Madrid, and on 7 May in the Russian capital.

Boomerang Interviú will stage the first leg of the 2005/06 UEFA Futsal Cup final against MFK Dinamo Moskva on Saturday 29 April in Madrid, with the return on Sunday 7 May in the Russian capital after the dates were confirmed.

Happy memories
Spanish champions Boomerang, who lifted the cup in 2004, will kick off their home leg at 19.30CET in the Pabellón Caja Madrid. They will hope holding the first leg is a good omen, as two years ago they were at home for the opening match against SL Benfica, winning 4-1 at their then Pabellón Parque Corredor base. They eventually prevailed 7-5 on aggregate.

Dinamo return
Dinamo, who play at the Druzhba sports hall in Moscow, have bittersweet memories of a European final second leg on home ground. A year ago, as first-time finalists, they staged the return against Action 21 Charleroi, which they began 4-3 down. In an epic struggle, the game went to extra time, with the aggregate scoreline finishing 10-9 to the Belgian team. Their home leg will kick off at 3pm local time (1pm CET).

New format
This will be the last two-legged UEFA Futsal Cup final - which has been the format since the tournament's second edition in 2002/03. From next season there will be a one-venue final round involving the last four sides.
