Deadly Dinamo score success

MFC Dinamo Mosvka were on free-scoring form in Krakow as they struck 36 goals in their three UEFA Futsal Cup first qualifying round Group 6 victories.

Baustal recover
Hosts KS Baustal Kraków were making their tournament bow, and within three minutes were behind against Georgian side FC Iberia 2003 as George Totlaze struck. By full-time it was a different matter, though, A Krzysztof Filipczak hat-trick, two goals from Konrad Cebula and further efforts by Blazej Korczynski Tomasz Lesniak and Szymon Maksym gave Poland's Baustal an 8-1 victory.

Goal feast
However, that was a low-scoring affair compared to what was to follow at the Academy of Physical Education, as Dinamo overwhelmed preliminary round runners-up SK Tirana 23-2. Serguei Ivanov and Odair Pedro Da Silva Junior scored five goals each, Joan Dos Santos Nunes managed four, Pavel Kobzar, Konstantin Maevski, Sirilo Tadeus Cardoso Filho and Stanislav Larionov all struck two and a Armando Dama own goal completing the scoring. Erind Resuli and Ani Mullaj scored either side of half-time, when Dinamo were already on 15 goals.

Tirana fall
Any hopes Tirana had of progressing then disappeared as they lost to Baustal, but held their opponents to a 6-3 scoreline. Krzysztof Marzec opened the scoring for Baustal and by the nine-minute mark Filipczak, Maciej Bebenek and Marzec again had made it 4-0. Arjan Hysa and Renaldo Kalari pulled two back for Tirana, but Piotr Jamroz made it 5-2 on 12 minutes and after the break Maksym added to the lead before Hysa scored again.

Ivanov treble
Dinamo - eliminated at this stage on head-to-head record by ZVV West Stars last season - again made double figures against Iberia, Ivanov managing a hat-trick, Kobzar and Dos Santos Nunes scoring twice and Serguei Malyshev, Larionov and Cardoso Filho also claiming goals in a game where Andro Mizandari had given Iberia hope by equalising Kobzar's first-minute strike.

Iberia prevail
Iberia ended up in third place, winning a thrilling final-day match against Tirana 7-5. The Albanian representatives turned an early 2-0 deficit into a 4-2 lead through two goals each from Dama and Mullaj, but Nick Kbiladze pulled one back and after Hysa was shown a red card, Kbiladze equalised. Totlaze's second goal of the game put Iberia ahead, and although Mullaj then completed his hat-trick, Kbiladze and Vakhtang Tsereteli both scored int he final two minutes from the end to seal the win.

Dinamo through
After 66 goals in the first five games, the deciding match produced just three, all for Dinamo. Ivanov and Da Silva Junior struck in the first nine minutes against Baustal and Dos Santos Nunes settled matters four minutes from time, giving Dinamo a second qualifying round slot in March against FC Dorozhnik Minsk, El Pozo Murcia FS and FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
