Gödöllö go down to Municipium

Futsal Club Gödöllö failed to press their advantage with a 5-1 defeat against KMF Municipium Casino Pljevlja leaving UEFA Futsal Cup Main round Group 4 wide open heading into the final matchday.

Dramatic defeat
The Hungarian mini-tournament hosts could have grabbed one of the two berths in October's Elite round with a win against their Montenegrin opponents but came undone in dramatic style, trailing 3-1 at the interval and losing 5-1. Meanwhile Greek side Athina '90 Athens, beaten 6-2 by Gödöllö on the opening day, lost 9-1 against Belgium's Futsal Topsport Antwerpen aided by six Karim Bali goals and they are now top on goal difference ahead of Municipium on four points, with the two sides having drawn 2-2 in their opening fixture. Municipium now only require a draw against eliminated Athina on Tuesday while Gödöllö will need a win against Antwerpen to reach their second consecutive Elite round.
