Cartagena Costa Cálida will play Sporting CP and holders Illes Balears Palma face Etoile Lavalloise in the UEFA Futsal Champions League semi-finals after the draw took place at the Prefettura di Pesaro.
The semi-final ties will be played on Friday 8 May at Pesaro Futsal Arena, with the third-place match and final at the same venue two days later. The draw (conducted without seeding) was made by former Italy goalkeeper Stefano Mammarella, who helped Città di Montesilvano win the 2010/11 UEFA Futsal Cup and claimed UEFA Futsal EURO 2014 with the Azzurri.
Cartagena took bronze on debut last season with a penalty shoot-out win against two-time winners Sporting, who are in the finals for an unprecedented sixth year in a row. Palma, aiming for a record fourth straight title, meet finals debutants Etoile, defeated by the reigning champions 2-1 in the main round.
