League A

Highlights: Poland 0-1 Italy

Group A3: Poland 0-1 Italy
Italy left it late to beat Poland, Cristiano Biraghi's added-time winner securing Roberto Mancini a first competitive win as Azzurri coach. The visitors had come closest prior to the breakthrough, Jorginho and Lorenzo Insigne hitting the bar in the first half. A second consecutive home defeat means Poland are relegated from League A while Italy can still reach the Finals ahead of Portugal, who were heading through before Biraghi struck.

League B

Highlights: Russia 2-0 Turkey

Group B2: Russia 2-0 Turkey
Russia are one point from promotion after a win in Sochi that ended Turkey's hopes of going up. Georgi Dzhikiya had not long before made a vital saving tackle when his 20th-minute shot following a corner hit the post and was turned in by his central defensive partner Roman Neustädter. With 19 minutes left, Denis Cheryshev, who put Russia 1-0 up in their September win in Trabzon, was sent on and doubled the lead after Aleksandr Golovin led a quick counter.

League C

Highlights: Israel 2-0 Albania

Group C1: Israel 2-0 Albania
Goalkeeper Ariel Harush was the star man for Israel as they took themselves three points clear, the home side's No1 making excellent saves from Bekim Balaj either side of his lofted assist for Tomer Hemed's opening goal. Albania created a number of chances, but their hopes evaporated after substitute Dia Seba doubled the lead via a deflection.

Highlights: Romania 0-0 Serbia

Group C4: Romania 0-0 Serbia
Despite being reduced to ten men for the entire second half, the hosts managed to hold firm. Gabriel Tamaş was the player shown a straight red card on the stroke of half-time, an incident which resulted in a Serbia penalty; visiting captain Dušan Tadić was wayward from the spot.

Highlights: Lithuania 1-4 Montenegro

Group C4: Lithuania 1-4 Montenegro
Stefan Mugoša gave Montenegro an early lead after being sent clear by Marko Vešović. Boris Kopitović made it two, heading in Vladimir Jovović's corner at the far post, and just before half-time Mugoša converted a penalty. Darko Zorić added a fourth late on before Rolandas Baravykas pulled one back. Montenegro are second, a point behind Serbia, while Lithuania are six adrift of Romania in fourth.

League D

Highlights: Faroe Islands 1-1 Kosovo

Group D3: Faroe Islands 1-1 Kosovo
Milot Rashica's first international goal – a dipping drive from distance – gave the visitors an early lead in Torshavn. René Joensen equalised five minutes after the interval, but Kosovo withstood late pressure to remain unbeaten and top of the section.

Group D3: Azerbaijan 1-1 Malta
Azerbaijan missed the chance to move level on eight points with group leaders Kosovo after failing to make their opportunities count. Malta even threatened a shock win when Rowen Muscat turned in from close range before the interval, and although Araz Abdullayev equalised, visiting goalkeeper Andrew Hogg made several good saves to frustrate the hosts. The result nonetheless ended Malta's promotion hopes.
