"The icing on the cake" is how Beto, the Sevilla FC goalkeeper, describes his team's UEFA Super Cup showdown with Real Madrid CF.

The all-Spanish contest in Cardiff is Sevilla's reward for winning the UEFA Europa League in May and the Andalusians already know what it takes to beat a compatriot club in this competition, having defeated FC Barcelona 3-0 in the 2006 edition. Beto and captain Federico Fazio reflected on what it would take to produce another upset against Madrid in the Welsh capital on Tuesday night.

• Beto was the hero of May's final shoot-out win against SL Benfica, saving two penalties.
• Fazio was in Sevilla's squad in 2007/08 when they lost the UEFA Super Cup to AC Milan.
• Sevilla played 19 matches en route to winning the UEFA Europa League last term.

Beto on playing another final ...
We have to enjoy it to the full. It cost a lot of effort to get here and [winning] would be the culmination of the job done last year. For us this is something unique. It is the icing on the cake of last season.

Fazio on the contrast between Sevilla and Madrid ...
Real Madrid are a huge club, one of the best in the world, but there is nothing nicer than the successes that we can achieve with Sevilla.

Beto on compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo ...
Cristiano is the best player in the world, he doesn't need two months of pre-season work. But we have our own collective weapons to stop not just him but Madrid.

Fazio on the key to bettering Madrid ...
We have to produce a complete game, we have to win every action, every tackle, we have to be strong defensively and in attack too. We have to produce a near-perfect game.

Beto on being underdogs ...
Madrid will always be favourites and the odds are with them but as we've already beaten them before [2-1 in Seville last season], we believe that we can do it again.
