Marcus Rashford is basking in the spotlight after he followed up his spectacular senior debut for Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League with another double in his maiden league outing.
The 18-year-old was added to United's starting lineup just before kick-off in their round of 32 second leg at home to Midtjylland after Anthony Martial was injured in the warm-up. And Rashford took full advantage, scoring twice in the second half to fire United to a 5-1 win that overturned a 2-1 first-leg deficit.
Incredibly, days after his two-goal salvo in Europe, the teenager repeated his feat in his next outing – notching twice and making another as the Red Devils saw off third-placed Arsenal 3-2 in the Premier League.
But those who have followed the UEFA Youth League this season will have been well aware of Rashford's talent. He was part of United's squad in the group stage and on what was his continental competition bow in the 3-0 victory away to PSV Eindhoven, Rashford struck twice, including the cool finish you can watch in the video player above.
The England Under-18-forward claimed a third goal from the spot two weeks later as United drew 1-1 with Wolfsburg and although his club were not to make progress, Rashford has now received his knockout chance in a senior competition.
