Article body
Hosts Finland are still in with a chance of reaching the FIFA World Under-17 Championship quarter-finals despite Saturday's 2-0 Group A loss against Mexico.
Sell-out crowd
A sell-out crowd of 10,200 in Helsinki saw the Mexicans overcome the Finns thanks to goals from Julio Ceja and Oscar Herrera. In the same section, Colombia overcame Finland's first-day victims China 2-1. The Colombians and Mexicans now each have four points, with Finland a point behind and in need of a victory against Colombia on Tuesday to reach the last eight.
Argentina book berth
In the day's other games Argentina became the first country to book their place in the next round after a 2-0 win against Costa Rica. They look almost certain to be joined by Nigeria, who overcame Australia 2-1 and can only be denied a place in the quarter-finals if the Costa Ricans beat Australia by two goals on Tuesday and the Argentinians overcome Nigeria.
Sunday action
Spain and Portugal will both be in action on Sunday, against Korean Republic and Brazil respectively in Groups D and C.
