The mini-tournament dates and venues are now known for the second qualifying round of the 2002/03 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.

Portugal await
The 28 sides who negotiated their way through the first qualifying round have been divided into seven groups of four. Each side will play each other once with the top side in each group joining hosts Portugal in this summer's final tournament which runs from 7-17 May.

Swiss set for Greece
Holders Switzerland must travel to Greece for the Group 5 mini-tournament, along with Hungary and Albania. Meanwhile, France, beaten finalists last time around, face a tricky trip to Spain, where Bulgaria and Wales will also provide stiff competition.

Meridian participants
Before the first second qualifying round games commence in March, Switzerland, France, Spain and England's Under-17 sides will all take part in the 2003 UEFA-CAF Meridian Cup in Egypt, hoping to defend Europe's crown against Africa.
