Perfect finish for England

Norway 1-2 England Group hosts come from behind to end the round with a 100 per cent record.

Matthisen opener
The group hosts were already assured of first place at kick-off - and indeed Norway knew they would finish fourth - but the visitors went behind early on as Jesper Matthisen scored for the third consecutive game.

England comeback
It did not take England long to respond though as West Ham United FC's Kyel Reid equalised, setting the scene for Manchester United FC's Fraizer Campbell to score the winner with 13 minutes to go - having already claimed the clincher in the vital 1-0 victory against Iceland on Friday.

Pearson confident
England coach Nigel Pearson was pleased with his side's display, saying: "We played some good attacking football, and finished the tournament on a high note. By qualifying for the finals the players now get a chance to further add to their experience, and by being undefeated in six games can be quietly confident of their chances irrespective of who we get drawn against." The draw is on Friday ad the finals take place in France during May.

Norway disappointment
Norway coach Oivind Nilsen was more downbeat. "I'm very disappointed to finish bottom of the group," he said. "We were not prepared for such high intensity and commitement from our opponents who were all excellent. My players will learn from this experience."
