Débonnaire demands more

Group B reaction: Swiss coach Yves Débonnaire feels his side could have done better despite beating Israel 3-0.

Although his side made an excellent start to the UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals with a 3-0 win against Israel, Switzerland coach Yves Débonnaire feels his side have room for improvement, though Avraham Bahar, in charge of Israel, was impressed with their victorious opponents. In the other Group B game, Croatia's Ivan Gudelj was stunned by the Netherlands' comeback to draw 2-2, having led by two goals with the game entering added time. However, Dutch coach Ruud Kaiser is a past master at overseeing comebacks, as uefa.com rounds up the reaction from the group.

ISRAEL 0-3 SWITZERLAND
Avraham Bahar, Israel coach
Switzerland had a very good game today. Our key players did not perform as I expected and this is one of the reasons behind our negative performance. We reacted well after their opener, but their second goal early after the break killed the game. However we tried to give our best even when we were 3-0 down. I'm very pleased at this. Switzerland pressed us in every part of the pitch and did not allow us to play as we can, proving to be in better physical condition than us. However we were better than them in some periods of the game.

Yves Débonnaire, Switzerland coach
I can divide the game in four different parts. We played well in the first 20 minutes of each half but we didn't in the rest of the game. In both halves we started very well, technically and tactically, and created a few opportunities to score. Then, after scoring, we failed to keep on playing in the same way, we did not manage any longer to keep the right distance between our players and we gave Israel many chances to score. I want to congratulate Israel because they proved to have the right mental approach as they tried to attack until the final whistle even though they were 3-0 down.

CROATIA 2-2 NETHERLANDS
Ivan Gudelj, Croatia coach
We had a good match. We were better than the Netherlands. At 2-0 we were sure to win the match. We didn't expect the Netherlands to come back into the match so quickly.

Ruud Kaiser, Netherlands coach
The beginning of the match was not easy. We had a good chance, which we missed and Croatia scored just after. From then onwards the match was different. We made bad choices in our passing. Then Croatia's No10 scored a very nice goal. At 2-0 I saw heads going down, but I told my players to go up and play long balls. This was a bad match for us, but we still managed to create some good chances.
