The Czech Republic qualified for their first UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals for four years as a goal in each half gave them victory against Denmark and top spot in Elite round Group 3 in Turkey.
Turkish favour
Having recovered from losing their opener 3-1 against France to defeat Turkey 1-0, the Czechs still needed both victory from this game and at least a draw for the eliminated group hosts against Les Bleus. Goals on 27 minutes from Petr Wojnar and in the 48th minute by Tomas Necid meant the Czechs did their part, and a 1-1 result in the other game confirmed Jakub Dovalil's side will play in the finals.
Thursday draw
Their focus now switches to the draw in Mamer, Luxembourg on Thursday at 18.00 CET, and the Czechs will return to the Grand Duchy from 3-14 May for the final tournament.
