Romania pipped by single goal

Serbia and Montenegro recovered from their heartbreaking loss on the opening day of UEFA European Under-17 Championship Elite round Group 6 to defeat Romania in the Republic of Ireland and keep their qualification hopes alive.

Lead defended
A penalty deep into added time gave Israel a 2-1 comeback win against Serbia and Montenegro two days ago, leaving them with an uphill task if they were to earn the one available place in May's finals in Luxembourg.
