Rose rises to the occasion

England recovered from the early sending off of Victor Moses to pick up a second UEFA European Under-17 Championship Elite round Group 3 victory with Danny Rose's goal.

Having beaten mini-tournament hosts Bosnia-Herzegovina 5-0 on Matchday 1 in Sarajevo, England were on a high but thing began badly when Joe Mattock was injured on five minutes and had to be replaced by Dan Gosling and not long after that Moses was dismissed for a foul tackle.

Rose winner
Azerbaijan, beaten 5-1 by Serbia on Friday, pushed hard as England reorganised but eight minutes after the break Rose claimed the winner after being set up by half-time substitute Rhys Murphy. Azerbaijan are now out, while to qualify England will have to gain victory on Wednesday against Serbia, as they overcame Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-0 to go top on goals scored.
