Le Tallec, brother of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard player Anthony - who starred when France won the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Cup - pu François Blaquart's side ahead on 50 minutes in La Rochelle as he headed in Frédéric Bulot's cross. With eight minutes left Yann M'Vila was fouled in the Norway box and Le Tallec converted the penalty. In the other match, Hungary - who meet Norway on Wednesday - beat France's next opponents Finland 3-2.
