Georgia secured a dramatic victory in their opening UEFA European Under-17 Championship Elite round Group 5 encounter with Scotland.

Penalty winner
Aiming to match their maiden qualification of a year ago, Ross Mathie's Scotland side had a one-man advantage for the last six minutes after Avtandil Brachuli was dismissed. But in injury time Scotland goalkeeper Connor Fairley conceded a penalty and Irakli Sheqiladze converted. Scotland need to bounce back on Sunday against Italy, who today won 2-1 against Georgia's next opponents, group hosts Austria.
