Now a superstar with France and Atlético Madrid, Antoine Griezmann looks back on his role in France's 2010 victory as hosts – and has some advice for his successors.

Part of the France side that lifted the UEFA European Under-19 Championship trophy on home soil in 2010, Antoine Griezmann – now fresh from a remarkable UEFA EURO 2016 – shared his memories with UEFA.com and offered some advice for his U19 successors.

I was so happy – you want to score a goal in order to celebrate it. So there was a lot of joy. And even better, it was in France. Everyone was happy, the whole stadium was bouncing.

It was such a proud moment. We wanted to give everything for the people who came to support us. We gave everything. I was injured at half-time, but I believed in my team-mates and we won in the end.

It's great. You say to yourself: 'OK, you are in the U19s now and you must try to get close to the first team. You need to work hard at your club in order to be in the French national team.' It's a dream come true really.

Enjoy playing, open your eyes during the competition, learn everything and give everything. Give everything for your country.
