Group 9: Slovakia see off Bosnia-Herzegovina

Slovakia squeezed past Bosnia-Herzegovina to win the qualifying round Group 9 mini-tournament in Liechtenstein and reach the intermediary round of the 2001/02 UEFA European Under-19 championship.

Brusko winner
A 20th-minute goal from Tomás Brusko secured a 1-0 win for the Slovkians in their winner-takes-all clash with their Group 9 rivals. The victory meant that Slovakia finished their campaign with seven points from three games, having earlier beaten Liechtenstein 3-0 and drawn 1-1 with Northern Ireland.

Other standings
Bosnia came second on four points having beaten the Northern Irish, lost to Slovakia and only drawn with Liechtenstein. Northern Ireland came third, also on four points, after beating Liechtenstein, who finished bottom with a single point, in their final group game.
