Norway eliminate hosts

Norway came from behind to beat hosts Liechtenstein 2-1 and keep alive their hopes of progress.

Came from behind
Egil Olsen's side came from behind after trailing to an early Sandro Maierhoffer goal but Branimir Poljac's equaliser and an own goal from Christoph Bühler meant they finished the day a point behind Portugal and Italy in Group A. They face the Portuguese in their final group match in Schaan on Sunday.

Maierhoffer free-kick
Maierhoffer gave Liechtenstein the lead after just four minutes with a free-kick but they were soon on the back foot as Norway fought to get back into the game. Petter Vaagan Moen went close twice before Poljac restored parity on 28 minutes.

Own goal
Eight minutes later, Bühler became the second Liechtenstein player - after Claudio Alabor - to score an own goal in the tournament when he turned the ball past his own goalkeeper, Daniel Steuble. The second half offered little by way of chances and Liechtenstein's elimination was confirmed after two straight defeats.
