Stielike charges seal finals berth

Germany 2-1 Czech Republic Uli Stielike's German side qualify from Group 2 with their third straight win.

Germany sealed their passage to July's UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Northern Ireland with a 2-1 victory against the Czech Republic in Zlín.

Svenger save
The Germans, without suspended pair Eugen Polanski and Dennis Aogo, needed only a point to progress from Elite round Group 2 but could have gone behind as the Czechs started positively. Even when Germany, who had won each of their opening two fixtures without conceding, earned a 47th-minute penalty, Czech goalkeeper Milan Svenger saved Sascha Schrödter's spot-kick.

Late winner
Kevin-Prince Boateng hit the post as Germany stepped up a gear then Florian Müller put them ahead in the 64th minute. Jan Schulmeister restored parity with 12 minutes remaining but Schrödter made up for his missed penalty by scoring an 87th-minute winner to send his side into the finals draw on 3 June.
