Article body
A hat-trick from striker Alexis Kubielis gave Belgium an impressive 4-1 victory against UEFA European Under-19 Championship Elite round Group 4 mini-tournament hosts Hungary in Zalaegerszeg.
Unstoppable Kubielis
The FC Molenbeek Brussels Strombeek forward scored twice to give his side a two-goal cushion at the ZTE stadium, before RSC Anderlecht defender Timothy De Rijck made it 3-0. Balázs Dzsudzsák pulled one back to temporarily give the Hungarians hope, only for Kubielis to complete his hat-trick, and Belgium's win.
Two-point cushion
With 2003 winners Italy playing out a goalless draw with Armenia in today's other Group 4 fixture, Marc Van Geersom's Belgian side hold a two-point lead in the section. Armenia are Belgium's next opponents, on Sunday, with Hungary hoping for better fortune against the Italians the same day.
