Switzerland and Scotland moved through UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying round Group 8 with a match to spare - and neither side conceded a goal.
Fletcher treble
Scotland began in free-scoring fashion, defeating Andorra 5-0 in Moutier. Steven Fletcher struck on 20 minutes and ten minutes later Brian Gilmour converted a penalty. John Kane made it three just before the break and Fletcher scored again in the 70th and 86th minute to complete his hat-trick. Group hosts Switzerland overcame Finland 2-0 in Delemont, Beqim Halimi - who played at the 2005 UEFA European U17 Championship in Italy - opened the scoring in the 14th minute and Marc Luetolf made it two in added time.
Swiss record
The Swiss then travelled to Moutier and claimed 12 without reply against Andorra, the first time they have reached double figures in a competitive men's match at any level. Only Sven Jegge, Sebastian Koller, with a penalty, and Halimi scored before the break, but in the second half Jegge claimed three more, substitute Antonio Aiello struck a late hat-trick and Ivan Rakitic, Pano Papastergios and Zdravko Kuzmanovic also found the target.
Duo through
It was tougher for Scotland, but they ensured both they and Switzerland would enter the Elite round draw with a 1-0 win against Finland. Scotland had goalkeeper Andrew McNeil sent off for handball in the 40th minute in Delemont, but replacement Callum Reidford held firm and Fletcher's header on the hour proved decisive.
Goalless draw
Progress secured, Switzerland and Scotland then drew 0-0 in Delemont, the mini-tournament hosts taking first place on goal difference. Finland finished on a high, securing third place by beating Andorra 6-0 in Moutier.
