Soukup opts to mix old with new

Czech Republic coach Miroslav Soukup has named two uncapped players in an otherwise experienced squad for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship.

Czech Republic coach Miroslav Soukup has named two uncapped players in his squad for the forthcoming UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Poland. CU Bohemians Praha's Ivan Hašek and Ondřej Mazuch of 1. FC Brno have both been included in the 18-man party, who begin their campaign against Belgium on Tuesday. At 17, defender Mazuch is the youngest member of the squad and Soukup is likely to rely on the experience of the likes of Martin Fenin, Jan Šimůnek and Petr Pavlík, who have amassed 43 appearances between them at this level.
