Hosts Hungary suffered a setback in their bid to reach the UEFA European Under-19 Championship as two Marius Papsys goals earned a draw for a Lithuania side who had trailed 2-0 in their opening fixture in Elite round Group 2.
Stirring recovery
Hungary coach Tibor Sasa had his preparations for this mini-tournament disrupted by injuries to a number of key players, yet the home side looked to have shrugged that off when András Gosztonyi and Ádám Présinger struck either side of half-time to establish a two-goal lead. FK Vilnius forward Papsys halved the deficit just past the hour, however, and found the net against with 18 minutes left to rescue a point. With Portugal having overwhelmed Cyprus 5-0 in the section's other Matchday 1 game, Hungary will look to revive their challenge against Cyprus on Wednesday when the buoyant Lithuanians take on Portugal.
