Vuković double
More than 10,000 fans were at the Traktor Stadium but were disappointed when Veljko Vuković, one of a number of survivors from Serbia and Montenegro's 2006 U17 finals squad, put the visitors ahead on ten minutes and added another goal not long before half-time. Birmingham City FC player Stefan Milojević made it 3-0 in the 57th minute and UC Sampdoria midfielder Nikola Gulan, who played in the 2007 U19 finals in Austria, settled matters with 15 minutes left.
Wednesday matches
Serbia's next opponents England beat Poland 2-0 in Borisov earlier setting up a potential decider there on Wednesday. Indeed a win will be enough to take Serbia to the Czech Republic-hosted finals if Poland do not beat Belarus and the same will apply to England should the hosts fail to pick up maximum points.
