A late goal from Aleksandr Tolkanitsa has revived Belarus' hopes of reaching the UEFA European Under-19 Championship by securing victory against Poland after a disastrous start to Elite round Group 1.

Tolkanitsa on target
Pavel Rodnenok's side have home advantage in the section, which kicked off on Monday, yet opened their campaign with a 4-0 loss against Serbia in Minsk. Back at the Traktor Stadium two days after that setback, it was a totally different story, however, as FC MTZ-RIPO Minsk's Tolkanitsa struck with 12 minutes remaining to breathe new life into the Belarussian bid. They must still overcome section leaders England – who have won both their games to date – if they are to progress, however, while Poland, without a goal or a point after their 2-0 loss to England two days ago, conclude their campaign against Serbia.
