England are within a point of qualifying for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship for the first time since reaching the final in 2005 after James Henry's second-half goal defeated Serbia in the second round of matches in Elite round Group 1.

Henry hurrah
Brian Eastick's side opened their campaign with a 2-0 win against Poland thanks to two goals from Freddie Sears, but it was Henry who proved the difference against a Serbia side who had recorded a 4-0 victory against mini-tournament hosts Belarus in their opening fixture on Monday. The Reading FC midfielder struck eleven minutes into the second period to leave England needing just a point from their third match, against Belarus on Saturday, to reach this summer's finals in the Czech Republic. Serbia take on Poland the same day knowing that victory is essential to keep alive their hopes.
