Italy decider
Fresh from their 3-2 victory against hosts Switzerland in Saviese on Monday, Luc Rabat's team took just three minutes to break the deadlock as FC Lorient's Robert latched on to a pass from Samuel Sourprayen and rifled in. FC Girondins de Bordeaux winger Obertan doubled the lead on 31 minutes and although Sweden pulled one back through Ken Faceberg eight minutes from time, France held on to set up a decisive fixture with Italy at the weekend. A draw would take the Azzurrini into the July finals in the Czech Republic on goal difference.
