Switzerland made a strong start to the UEFA European Under-19 Championship Elite round, coming from a goal down to beat Sweden in their first Group 4 game.
Stirring fightback
Despite the final scoreline the Scandinavian side began the brighter in Tessenderlo and took the lead through Rasmus Jönsson 26 minutes in, the Helsingborgs IF striker converting a left-wing cross. The lead proved short-lived, however, as FC Basel 1893 forward Orhan Mustafi levelled five minutes later with a 20-metre shot, before two headed goals from Vullnet Basha at either end of the second period secured a valuable victory for Claude Ryf's side. Switzerland next face the Republic of Ireland on Sunday, when Sweden will look to bounce back against section hosts Belgium.
