The 2015/16 UEFA European Under-19 Championship kicks off in September with 52 teams among the initial entrants looking for a place in next summer's final tournament in Germany.
The 2016 finals hosts qualifying automatically for next year's tournament while Spain – who claimed their seventh U19 title in 14 seasons in Greece in July – are given a bye to the elite round. The 13 qualifying round sections kick off on 18 September when Croatia welcome Hungary, Montenegro and Kazakhstan for Group 2.
The qualifying round will conclude on 18 November with the top two in each section, and the best third-placed side overall, joining Spain in the elite round draw, to be held in Nyon on 3 December.
