Ladislav Škorpil has named his 23-man squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, with FC Viktoria Plzeň forward Tomáš Krbeček making the final cut.
Success story
The striker has been a revelation this season, scoring nine league goals in his first full top-flight campaign. Meanwhile, left-back Michal Kadlec and forward Jan Blažek have received call-ups despite missing the end of the Czech domestic season with injuries. Midfielder and dead-ball specialist Ladislav Volešák is the most notable of the players dropped from the original 30-man squad. Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward Michal Papadopulos and FK Moskva central defender Roman Hubník are the only foreign-based players. The Czechs will meet England, Serbia and Italy in Group B in the Netherlands.
