At least one team will be competing in the UEFA Women's Cup final for the first time after defending champions 1. FFC Frankfurt and follow Germans, and 2004/05 winners, 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam were both eliminated at the quarter-final stage. Umeå IK are the only previous finalists left in the competition with the two-time winners set to meet Brøndby IF in the last four. The other semi-final sees England's Arsenal LFC face Brøndby IF of Denmark.
