FFC Frankfurt (GER, holders)
• Won a record fourth title last season, two more than any other club.
Olympique Lyonnais (FRA)
• Reached every final from 2010 to 2013, winning twice, but have lost in the last 16 two years running.
Wolfsburg (GER)
• A semi-final reverse to Paris Saint-Germain last season ended their unbeaten European run and two-year reign as champions. On Sunday were beaten by SC Sand, their first home league defeat in 44 fixtures.
Rosengård (SWE)
• Marta's team clinched a fourth title in five years on Sunday and have booked their place in next year's competition along with runners-up Eskilstuna United. Nataša Andonova scored a hat-trick in the decisive 5-0 defeat of Linköping to take her tally to 13 goals in 16 games since her summer move from Turbine Potsdam.
Paris Saint-Germain (FRA)
• Forward Anja Mittag, who joined the 2015 runners-up from Rosengård in the summer, scored twice in the round of 32 to equal Inka Grings' record of 48 career UEFA women's club competition goals.
Fortuna Hjørring (DEN)
• The 2003 runners-up are still Denmark's only finalists.
Zvezda-2005 (RUS)
• Became the lone Russian club to contest the final in 2009.
Barcelona (ESP)
• Quarter-finalists two years ago, the Spanish side are in their first season as full-time professionals.

ASD Verona (ITA)
• Will hope to avenge their 2012/13 round of 16 loss to Rosengård.
KIF Örebro (SWE)
• Along with Chelsea and Atlético, the Swedish hopefuls made it a clean sweep of debutants advancing past the round of 32, but their Damallsvenskan finish means they have to win this competition to return next term.
Chelsea (ENG)
• In the space of ten days this month, the Blues won their first English title to complete the double and also beat Glasgow City home and away in their debut European tie.
FC Twente (NED)
• The only qualifying round winners to come through the round of 32, Twente became the first side to knock out a German team at that stage with an away-goals defeat of Bayern München.
Brescia (ITA)
• Beat Liverpool home and away to win a European tie for the first time.
Slavia Praha (CZE)
• Eliminated last season's semi-finalists Brøndby in the round of 32.
Atlético Madrid (ESP)
• On debut, lost their home leg 2-0 to Zorkiy only to triumph 3-0 in Russia and progress.
LSK Kvinner (NOR)
• Won the only round of 32 tie to go to extra time away to Zürich on Wednesday, and then on Sunday wrapped up their second straight Norwegian league title.
