The Olympic women's football final will be contested by two European teams for the first time following last-four wins for Sweden and Germany on Tuesday. The showpiece will take place in Rio de Janeiro at 22:30CET on Friday.

Hedvig Lindahl was the hero for Sweden after a goalless 120 minutes. The Chelsea goalkeeper made two saves in the penalty shoot-out to overcome the hosts and put Sweden, quarter-finalists in 2012 and 2008, into the decider.
Canada 0-2 Germany
Germany, bronze medallists in 2000, 2004 and 2008, are into the final for the first time thanks to goals from Melanie Behringer and Sara Däbritz. The decider will be coach Silvia Neid's last game at the helm after 11 years in charge.
