The current UEFA Women's EURO trophy, weighing 6.7kg and 60cm-high, was provided by Milan-based G.D.E. Bertoni.

It was unveiled in Manchester at the draw for the 2005 final tournament on 19 January of that year, the previous cup having remained in Germany's possession after their third consecutive victory in 2001, under the then regulations.

The UEFA Women’s EURO logo at the time inspired the shape and form for the competition trophy. The flowing lines and motion of the logo's graphic icon provided the Italian sculptor the visual means to interpret the spirit of the competition with a contemporary design – combining traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art computer aided manufacturing.
